The Bonaparte LNG project (‘Project’) is a joint venture between GDF SUEZ (60%) and Santos (40%) to develop a floating liquefaction project in the Bonaparte Basin, in the Timor Sea, 250 kilometres west of Darwin. GDF SUEZ Bonaparte Pty Ltd is an Australian subsidiary of GDF SUEZ and the operator of the Project. read more

Ichthys FID Announced!
INPEX CORPORATION and TOTAL today confirmed the Final Investment Decision on the US$34 billion Ichthys LNG Project.
INPEX Chairman Naoki Kuroda made the announcement in Darwin, the site of the onshore gas processing facilities which will be built to produce 8.4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per annum. Read more

Marine Supply Base - AWARDED
Chief Minister Paul Henderson today welcomed the signing of a $104 million contract to build and operate a world class Marine Supply Base at East Arm. Chief Minister said the construction would begin in the coming months on the base which would cement Darwin’s position as a major oil and gas hub. read more
