It is important to note that the ICN is written into Northern Territory Government procurement guidelines up to Tier 3 level (Purchases up to $200,000). Government Procurement officers are obliged to utilise ICN services in the following circumstances:
  • ICN must be consulted to ensure goods and services up to the value of $50,000 are confirmed ‘not available' from within the Territory prior to purchasing interstate or overseas.
  • ICN must be consulted to help identify local providers for goods and services under $50,000.
  • ICN will be consulted prior to sourcing quotations outside the Territory to help identify and increase opportunities to local providers.
  • ICN will be contacted to confirm local company details.
